The View is a fast-growing Virtual Reality content studio start-up located in the heart of Amsterdam. The View is a highly creative-ambitious studio work environment with plenty of room for your initiative and creativity as well as incorporating team feedback gracefully into your work. You can experiment with different versions of an edit, exploring multiple directions if needed. Awareness of what competitors are doing in the virtual reality world of video and staying one step ahead is a must.

• Our offices are located close to Amsterdam Central Station.
• This position is based in Amsterdam, and you must have a valid work permit and visa for The Netherlands.
• This is not a remote position. Candidates must live in The Netherlands and work in our office in Amsterdam.

• You have a good understanding of Video Production and Post-Production processes

Requirements & Skills:

• 3 to 5 years of proven work experience in content creation within the Media industry
• A strong understanding of episodic and series editing
• Experience in videography/cinematography
• Ability to take a concept from development through completion in editing
• Editing in Apple Final Cut Pro X is a strong preference and advantage.
• Excel in a team environment, ability to build/maintain positive relationships through strong collaboration efforts.
• Experience in GFX design & workflow in After Effects (or willingness to learn) is a plus
• Able to communicate clearly and fluently in English

The challenge

• Creating story-telling immersive 360 videos from footage with plotlines, dialogue, characters and situations elements
• Understanding of story-telling elements and the ability to enhance the story through the power of great editing
• Creativity: Express ideas effectively and innovatively using motion images and peripheral elements
• Ability to look into raw footage in detail and pick out the best shots
• Able to make suggestions to the sound designer
• Mix of speed and quality with the ability to work within tight time frames
