The Fun Description


The Senior Vice President, Entertainment will play a critical role in optimizing the heart of the


entertainment experience for each brand D&B and Main Event. The Company views its


entertainment experience as its key differentiator and catalyst for growth. The Entertainment leader


will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to create Entertainment as a center of


excellence within the business. The SVP Entertainment will be responsible for managing the two


brands to attain dual and individual growth and success.


This leader will be responsible for creating a lasting memory, one guest at a time. From entering the


brand’s parking lot, to first steps in the store or center, from playing, competing, celebrating and


dining, each guest should receive a memorable experience.


The SVP Entertainment will drive the strategic initiatives and direction of all aspects of entertainment


in the Company's national, multi unit environment. This person will be responsible for innovating


the entertainment experience broadly, to include new games, attractions, interactive technology,


content programming, and the overall guest entertainment experience.


Overall Responsibilities Entertainment Strategy Center of Excellence



Develop and execute the entertainment strategy and strategic initiatives as a center of excellence


aligning with the Company’s guest experience and target audiences across each of its brands.



Lead venue product mix thought leadership and product positioning in collaboration with cross


functional leadership.



In partnership with Operations and Construction and Design, develop and implement all new and existing


amusement layouts for an optimal guest experience and maximum profitability.


Innovation



Lead product innovation, testing and evaluation, to stay current on the latest trends and emerging


technology in gaming, e sports, digital connectivity and virtual reality, physical amusements, content


programming and music/entertainment.



Attend National and International shows (IAAPA, etc.) for games and amusements venues to investigate


new methods, or different types of venues to incorporate into the brands.



Develop and maintain relationships with key executives from various entertainment companies, content


developers and studios, and gaming and VR organizations and companies to secure partnerships for


exclusives and additional opportunities.


Vendor Management



Develop strong vendor management collaboration and partnerships to maximize guest satisfaction


through the amusements experience.



In partnership with Procurement, negotiate and purchase all equipment related to Laser Tag, Ropes


Courses, Golf, and other venues, in addition to prospecting new and innovative games, VR and other


experiences.

Cross Functional Collaboration



Attend senior leadership team, operations and new store opening meetings as the subject


matter expert in amusements, content and entertainment.



Identify and share best practices and innovative ideas for improving guest interaction with team


members.



Support operational staff with answers to games, equipment, content programming, products,


and inventory questions and issues.


Optimize Processes and Guest Satisfaction



Optimize mix of redemption games and experiences; optimize entertainment pricing and


redemption strategy.



Develop procedures for games merchandising, calibration and other related games functions.



Ensure adequate service levels for maintaining games, entertainment offerings and attractions.



Regularly visit competitor’s sites to evaluate equipment, pricing, teller incentives, calibration


standards, games layout, content programming, redemption store and amusement venues.


Pivotal Experience &


Expertise


The SVP Entertainment will need to be experienced in entertainment


oriented guest experiences,


with successful leadership in a dynamic environment with high service standards.


The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in games, TV content, music, movie,


entertainment activities, and similar amusements that provide a memorable guest experience.


In addition, this executive will have the following qualifications:



10+ years of experience managing multi unit amusements in the Entertainment industry



10+ years of guest facing, strategic entertainment responsibility



Strong Cross Functional And Collaboration Skills And Experiences



Operational leadership ability, with a passion for innovative new products, cutting edge trends


in technology, and activities that create the most fun and engaging experience.



Strong leadership skills creating and leading a high performance organization that works


collaboratively to achieve shared goals.



Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, mentoring, and coaching a team, as well as


holding the team accountable for their responsibilities and commitments.



Undergraduate degree required; MBA is additive.
