Job Description

T H E R O L E

The Mill is looking for a Senior Creative Developer with extensive experience building AR and VR experiences, as well as experience creating digital out of home and on-site digital experiences. In this role, you will collaborate with our team of talented creative directors, CG artists, technical artists, and narrative directors to create best-in-platform interactive experiences.

R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S
  • Work with creatives, tech leads and tech artists to create immersive experiences on a variety of platforms
  • Breakdown the technical needs and scope out projects with producers and the technical team
  • Develop technical architecture for projects which may sometimes involve various devices, sensors, and localized network services
  • Help mentor other members on the team and work with leadership to help grow the team’s knowledge of creative technology and platforms
  • Quickly develop prototypes in addition to production ready projects
  • Help provide estimates for level of effort and time for upcoming projects
Qualifications
  • 2-3 experience of professional software engineering for interactive experiences required
  • Expert proficiency in Unity including URP, HDRP, AR and VR workflows, and C# development
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine, experience in Blueprint, Bonus points for C++
  • Experience with version control (i.e. Git and Perforce)
  • Experience with headset devices such as Meta Quest, HTC Vive, Magic Leap, Hololens, etc.
  • Experience with sensors such as Kinect, Leap Motion, RealSense, etc.
  • Ability to quickly develop prototypes in addition to production ready projects
  • Bachelor's Degree
N I C E T O H A V E
  • Examples of shipped apps either for events, campaigns, or products in app stores
  • Experience with Social AR filters. (Lens Studio, Spark AR, Effect House)
  • Experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, micro controllers, LED, robotics, motors, batteries and off the shelf hardware.
  • Experience with writing shaders (GLSL)
  • Experience with Web XR Technologies (8thWall, Niantic, ZappAR, etc)
  • Expertise in WebGL and/or related libraries (three.js, BabylonJS, A-Frame)
  • Experience with generative art creation (OpenFrameworks, Processing, Cinder)
  • Experience with Physical Installation software. (Notch or Touch Designer)
