The Center for Online and Continuing Education at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Motion Designer - Boca Raton, FL.

  • The Motion Designer is responsible for providing support for the design and development of multimedia solutions to promote and support quality online courses and eLearning professional development. This includes but is not limited to working with clients to produce quality content, storyboarding and creating engaging motion graphics for online instructional course content. The Motion Designer will enhance conventional course content and other departmental projects to become truly engaging and dynamic.
  • Other job functions will include production of instructional materials, creation of reusable learning objects, development of mobile ready, interactive and immersive media content. Performs other duties as assigned at the discretion of the supervisor. This position reports to the Assistant Director of the Center for Online and Continuing Education. 
  • The successful candidate will be fully engaged and busy from the first day and we guarantee there will never be a dull moment. FAU's Center for Online and Continuing Education is a rapidly changing, high paced, collaborative environment. Must be willing to learn a wide range of software and media development tools. Knowledge of or experience with immersive media (AR / VR / 360 Video) are a major plus. Virtual reality, augmented reality, 3D modeling, animation, and interactivity experience are all preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or higher in an appropriate area of specialization and 2 years appropriate experience required.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced, frequently changing environment with strong attention to detail, time management and a talent for conceptualizing solutions.


This position is based in person, on campus and involves travel between campuses as needed.


Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender/Cinema4D.


Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office.


Willingness to take feedback/criticism and improve upon skills.


Salary:

$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
