Lenovo is looking for an Education Product Manager for the Education vertical within the Industry Solutions organization. The Education Product Manager is responsible for solution ideation, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing solution and customer requirements, defining the solution vision, delivering successful Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and proof of concept (POC) iterations and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.


The Product Manager will work with the Education Vertical team to align solutions to the company’s overall strategy and goals and work directly with internal and external partner organizations to bring innovative and disruptive solutions from Ideation all the way through solution lifecycle.


You will engage with Strategic Hardware and Software Partners, Global/ Local finance, Legal, different business units within Lenovo, Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing and Operations (amongst others).


Our Education solutions are focused on K12 and Higher Education global offerings and the emphasis is on leading-edge solutions such as IoT integration, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and personalized learning, augmented reality/ virtual reality (ARVR), etc.


Key responsibilities will be:


  • Define the solution strategy and own the roadmap
  • Deliver clear solution requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Lead the design of new solutions with internal & external partners
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
  • Lead the operational deployment of new solutions across the globe
  • Represent Lenovo Education to internal and external audiences
  • The role will engage on a day-to-day basis with key contacts within partner organizations across the ecosystem (e.g., Microsoft, Intel, Google, tech start-ups, etc.) to flesh out end-to-end solutions.
  • The role will also work closely with internal business units (e.g., PC/Tablet, Software, Services, Accessories) to ensure the foundational Lenovo hardware is Best in Class.
  • The role will present status, results, and recommendations to Director and VP levels.


This role requires up to 10% travel.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business and/or Information Technology preferred)
  • 7+ Years of Education solutions with product management or related experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching solutions and/or products
  • Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, AR/VR, and other leading high technology solutions experience
  • MBA
  • Education industry expertise, speaking and thought leadership
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in an autonomous, leadership capacity
  • High degree of creativity to find new ways to create and alter processes
  • Spirit of entrepreneurship requiring high-energy, proactivity, and teaming/collaboration
  • Keen understanding of country/region complexities for global implementations


The base salary range for this position in Colorado, New York City, Nevada and Washington, is $153,000 - $181,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
