Summary

Apple’s Technology Development Group (TDG) is looking for a AR/VR Computer Graphics Engineer to help us build the graphics behind cutting-edge applications for our next-generation interactive computing platforms. As a member of our organization you will assist us in crafting future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.


Key Qualifications

iOS experience (Swift or ObjectiveC)

Experience with shaders for real-time 3D applications (e.g. Metal, OpenGL, etc)

Working knowledge of C/C++

Intuition to make a meaningful impact-effort tradeoff that is required for quick prototyping

Flexibility to pick up new skills as required

Passion for developing high fidelity user experience prototypes


Description

You will be responsible for creating the graphics behind interactive 3D applications.


The ideal engineer for this role will be comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment. Engineers are expected to work quickly and smartly to help determine the viability of ideas and technologies. You will be exposed to state of the art in interactive 3D applications, get the chance to shape the trajectory of future Apple products, and surface the untapped potential of the AR/VR space for our users.


Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields


Additional Requirements

Build interactive applications using novel sensor technology

Implement state of the art rendering methods to give real-time user feedback and guide user interactions

Iterate and refine our applications with cross-functional feedback from technology and design groups

Previous experience with 3D game engines like Unity or Unreal

Solid understanding of global illumination and lighting models

You have shipped iOS apps / games in the past


Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
