Minimum qualifications:
  • 8 years of work experience in partnerships development, including 6 years of partner-facing experience
  • Experience with management and coaching
  • Experience initiating and driving business opportunities across mediums and hardware
  • Experience in the augmented reality/virtual reality or media content industry

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with team building and growing successful organizations
  • Technical experience with an understanding of product
  • Ability to think across all aspects of structuring and executing agreements, with a strategic mindset
  • Willingness to learn technology details with curiosity for products

About The Job

As a Strategic Partnership Development Manager, you will lead the Immersive Apps and Experiences team in the Android Cross Reality (XR) Partnerships organization. In this role, you will be responsible for building partnerships with developers across multiple teams. You'll work in a highly cross-functional leadership role, and partner with product leads, the Google Play developer, and partnership organizations at Google to build experiences that people love.

The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the relevant XR product teams to develop content strategy and recommendations on how to build key partnerships across Android’s XR products.
  • Engage partners on programs to establish experiences with VR content. Establish relationships with partners allowing them to bring their brands to Google’s experiences.
  • Define, discuss, and close complex distribution and application licensing agreements, with third-party application developers to deliver applications and immersive experiences in Android XR’s products.
  • Think creatively and long-term with priority partners to build durable, long-term partnerships by understanding their strategy and what matters to them.
  • Build a framework for testing new content types, assess return on investment, and iterate with partners across content industries for the product portfolio.
