Manager, Product Marketing


Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, this individual will execute product planning and product development strategies for Goertek's solutions for North America and Europe markets. This individual will collaborate with the senior leadership team to organize and execute quarterly roadmap meetings and drive the execution of roadmap meeting outputs.

He/she will also oversee the development of marketing & sales material, generation and management of product management deliverables including market research & analysis, product forecasts, and ROI analysis.

The successful candidate has a well-rounded set of skills that cover marketing, business development who can think both strategically but also execute tactically. Most importantly, he/she can operate with minimal supervision and able to identify executable actions under some ambiguity.

Primary responsibilities

  • Partner with sales in the achievement of revenue target and drive new opportunities, develop sales tools and presentations including product concepts and ideas, competitive research and analysis and validate opportunities.
  • Establish and evangelize vision, incorporate opportunities and integrate new technologies to form product roadmaps, perform the function of business development to create technology partnership with key providers across various technology domains, understand and apply offering of new technology in the market related to Goertek.
  • Proactively prepare and participate and in many cases, drive briefings, technical meetings, tactical or strategic planning with other functional areas and/or executive management.

Basic qualifications

  • Undergraduate in an engineering degree (mechanical, electrical or computer)
  • 5~7 years of consumer electronics (smart phones, tablets, TV, etc), 1 years of which in a managerial role (product management, account management, etc)
  • Solid project management skills, can manage and execute large projects with global team participation, ability to create focus by prioritization and goal setting in a matrix organization
  • Solid communication skills to provide holistic views or engage in deep discussions
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time both domestically and internationally.
  • Conversational ability in Mandarin

Preferred qualifications


  • Working experience of any domain in augmented reality (AR) and/or virtual reality (VR) technology such as system design (EE, ME, power optimization), key components (optics, sensors), software stack (kernel, middleware, application), etc.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence and lead across organizational boundaries, ability to lead, collaborate, negotiate and work effectively with cross-functional development teams.
  • Direct customer experience with proven record in penetrating new customers or championing revenue growth in existing customers and getting products to market that innovate and exceed market demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to directly interface, manage and resolve complex challenges with proven record to translate market requirements to marketing specifications for internal consumption
  • Understanding of manufacturing business operations
  • Native bilingual fluency in both English and Mandarin
