General Summary


GTI Energy is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to assist with expanding our digital and immersive training program offerings to the energy industry. In this role, you will provide development and deployment support for our virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), 3D interactive models, 360° 3D HD videos, eLearning, micro-videos, and gamification training programs.

Work Location


The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. While local candidates are preferred, GTI Energy does provide seasonal housing assistance for the right candidate.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Evaluate and test virtual reality (VR) training modules.
  • Evaluate and test new virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) hardware equipment.
  • Develop technology guides on how to operate virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) hardware equipment.
  • Develop new digital and immersive training experiences to support existing training programs.
  • Start-up, test, and ship virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) hardware equipment to customers.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for new customers deploying VR and AR training technologies.
  • Create promotional videos of GTI Energy’s digital and immersive training offerings.
  • Develop and update eLearning training content using Storyline and Articulate 360.
  • Create training videos using raw video footage from site visits.
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of a new Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics


  • Experience with virtual reality (VR) hardware equipment (e.g., HTC Vive Pro, Pico Neo 3)
  • Experience with augmented reality (AR) hardware equipment
  • Experience with 3D modeling using Unity or Unreal software preferred.
  • Experience with Storyline and Articulate 360 preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database programs including Teams and SharePoint.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data.
  • Ability to work and support an onsite and remote team.
  • Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers.


Education And Experience


  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science
