Job Summary:


Lowe’s is undergoing a transformation – and at the center of it is a new experience between people and their homes through emerging data and technologies.


The Lowe’s Innovation Labs team plays a critical role in driving this transformation.


Because few home improvement projects can move forward without data about the home, the Lowe’s Innovation Labs is developing new ways to collect and manage home data to meet our customers’ home improvement needs.


We are seeking experienced iOS software engineers to solve unique and complex technical problems that face our internal and external customers. Software engineers on our team prototype new ideas, build innovative experiences at scale, and enhance existing products. Our team is building the next-generation of products that empower home improvement customers and transform home improvement retail. Join us!


What you’ll do:


  • Design, prototype, and develop Augmented Reality software and experiences
  • Collaborate with fellow programmers, artists, and designers to create and iterate on product features
  • Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of application production and development
  • Continuously test, debug, profile, and optimize on all applicable platforms
  • Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications and build the next generation of products leveraging frameworks such as ARKit and RealityKit
  • Foster a culture of open, honest, and respectful communication across all disciplines


Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
  • 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in database technologies
  • 4 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
  • 6+ years relevant software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience working on projects at all phases of the development cycle
  • 3+ years of experience with native iOS mobile application development
  • Expertise with iOS mobile app technologies: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Objective C
  • Experience with one or more: Android, ARCore/ARKit/AR Foundation, Web VR, UX/UI, Game development, 3D
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment and deliver results
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
