Group/Division


The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Role & Responsibility


This staff role is part of the Learning & Knowledge Services team that drives technical learning for KLA’s service organization. In this role, you will partner with a cross-functional teams – across Engineering, Product Support and Field facing organizations to drive technology development and execution of our next generation of learning capabilities.


We are looking for a talented Principal Technical Program Manager/Director who is experienced in mixed reality technologies and production. Our products and training requirements require deeply integrated solutions which integrate into our cutting edge knowledge systems and virtual learning centers to support the next generation learning paradigm. The right candidate will develop new immersive reality features and capabilities that contribute to an overall technical learning strategy.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Ability to plan, manage and control the POR for XR deliverables and growth.
  • Experience with prototyping and production with the latest XR hardware (Oculus Quest 2, HoloLens 2, Varjo XR-3, etc.)
  • Ability to participate in software architecture discussions, code reviews, and user studies design
  • Demonstrated experience in developing a global mixed reality team
  • Experience developing and delivering high-fidelity 3D content, assets, and interaction methods for XR devices
  • Proven leadership role in MR and/or training, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience


Required Experience


  • Bachelors in computer science or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in developing and shipping Unity-based applications, preferably in visualization, AR/VR, or video games.
  • Demonstrated hands-on skills in C++ and C#.
  • Experience in creating and using animated 3D models.
  • Experience in developing applications for headsets such as Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, HoloLens, or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail in UI design implementation.
  • Strong communication and team-success oriented collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of programming with a solid understanding of software engineering techniques, methodologies, and attention to detail.
  • Experience or certified program management skills detail.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Master's Level Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience OR
  • Bachelor's Level Degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience
