Team Introduction

Pico is a leading VR/AR platform with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, focusing on VR all-in-one technology. Pico is committed to offering immersive and interactive VR experiences to our customers, including providing tailor-made solutions for our enterprise clients in the fields of education and healthcare.

Successful Candidates Must Be Able To Commit To One Of The Following Summer Internship Cycles Below

This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2023.

• May 22, 2023 to August 11, 2023
• May 29, 2023 to August 18, 2023
• June 12, 2023 to September 1, 2023

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Technical Assessment

Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in Bytedance's technical online assessment in HackerRank.

Responsibilities

• Develop wearable hardware devices and interaction paradigms for XR (AR/VR/MR)
• Under the guidance of mentor, conduct independent research and development projects in haptics, sensors, algorithms, functional materials, perception and/or human computer interactions
• Collaborate with internal departments and external industry partners to develop advanced technologies

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Research skills involving defining problems, exploring solutions, and analyzing and presenting results
• Hands on experience with rapid prototyping for HW and user experiences

Proficiency in C/C++, Matlab and/or Python. Applicability of ML tools is a plus

• Familiarity with user studies and statistical evaluations
• Interpersonal experience with cross functional and cross cultural
• Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated in accepted papers at top tier conferences and journals
• Energetic and motivated to work in dynamic work environment with highly skilled talent
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
