Make an Impact

VERSES is looking for a Director, User Experience, someone who is hardworking and passionate about solving real world problems with state-of-the-art, socially-conscious technology. You’ll be responsible for designing and building the user interfaces that define our product suite which spans Web, Mobile, and XR.

This role will report to our Product leader.


You will work closely with our Product and Customer Success teams on a suite of products that encompass execution, reporting, and management capabilities for our rapidly growing enterprise customer base as we continue building The Spatial Web.


Requirements

Essential Functions - a/k/a Your Mission

  • Deeply understand the customer, building products that are intuitive, accessible, and usable for our enterprise customer base.
  • Architect experiences and interfaces for multiple form factors that adhere to the VERSES brand identity.
  • Contribute to the overall product strategy through investigative research, concept generation, prototyping, and delivering high fidelity design concepts that inform development.
  • Create and socialize style guides with reusable components.
  • Identify and troubleshoot gaps in UX (e.g., responsiveness)
  • Work closely with the Product organization to bring concepts to market. Regularly attend engineering meetings
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to collect feedback directly from our customers


Great to Haves

  • A portfolio demonstrating experience in UX, visual design, and interaction design for responsive, desktop, and mobile experiences. Augmented, Mixed, or Virtual reality experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role
  • The ability to take broad conceptual ideas and define them into a useful and valuable product experience.
  • An understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to use data and research to inform your design thinking and final solution.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and to communicate ideas and design rationale.
  • Experience using design tools including Figma and Sketch.
  • Experience working with design systems.
  • Experience working in an agile development process and/or an iterative UX process.
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills, with great attention to detail.
