Key Qualifications
12+ years of UI/UX and visual/motion design experience and delivery in a variety of shipped products
Eye for detail. Ability to deliver beautiful, high quality visual targets and polished, ship-ready assets for a variety of platforms
Experience in designing real-time interactive apps and experiences across multiple platforms and devices, in at least one of the following areas: AR/VR, 3D, games, film, education/training, installations
Hands-on experience creating and iterating collaboratively on visual concepts, wireframes, 2D & 3D prototypes, motion studies
Proficiency with tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro
Experience with and passion for 3D tools such as Cinema4D, Blender, Maya, Houdini
Ability to present eloquently and weigh tradeoffs in discussions with cross-functional technical partners and executive stakeholders.
Experience in leading & coaching others to develop their eye and design practice
Description
In this role, you will investigate, concept, and prototype new experiences for AR using evolving technologies. Your work will help shape and inform our current and future products. You will work closely with other Apple designers, artists, and engineers to craft transformative, empowering experiences for our audiences. You should be able to balance customer needs with technical constraints to help realize the team’s ideas, translating these ideas into extraordinary, compelling visuals and actionable design recommendations. You will join projects at varying stages of production, ranging from rapid prototyping, to delivering scalable production assets, to polishing and optimizing UI assets for shipping, working closely with engineering to ensure a high-quality product. This role requires attention to detail, curiosity, adaptability, and thoughtfulness as you produce visually beautiful content while helping the team navigate through unusual technical challenges.
Education & Experience
Degree in Interaction Design, Game Design, Computer Science, or equivalent
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of macOS and iOS design principles
Previous experience with 3D engines or APIs, including Unreal, Unity, RealityKit/ARKit
Brand development experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,000 and $269,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
