General Summary

Qualcomm's Snapdragon Studio team is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop showcase gaming content on Snapdragon’s always-connected devices. This position will be at the center of designing and developing future-looking online gaming experiences spanning across traditional networked gameplay, cloud gaming, and newly emerging hybrid models.

At the heart of Snapdragon Studios, we are passionate about next generation gaming technologies and delivering exceptional gaming experiences. Our highly creative teams are full of veteran game developers, artists, game engine experts and graphics enthusiast who work on our latest GPU and gaming hardware innovations around mobile, PC, XR, and automotive segments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  
  

OR

Master's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of relevant Gaming Software experience.
  
  

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• 7+ years of professional experience
• Highly proficient in C/C++
• Expertise developing multiplayer online gameplay in Unreal Engine 4, or Unity 3D
• Understanding of game networking systems and technologies including client-server and peer-to-peer networking models, latency compensation etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping at least one multiplayer mobile, console, PC, or XR game
• Familiarity with cloud gaming network architectures
• Familiarity with video streaming technologies
• Experience with Android, or Linux game development
• Comfortable working with unfamiliar, large code bases
