The RL organization includes Oculus and Portal products, augmented and virtual reality software and content, and research and development labs. We plan to release multiple products and technologies over the next few years that will define new categories and advance Meta's mission of bringing the world closer together.The Reality Labs Product Marketing team is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager who can influence product roadmaps to put people’s privacy first and then communicate those privacy wins to consumers, privacy advocates, regulators, the media, and others. Product Marketing Manager, Privacy - Reality Labs Responsibilities:
- Develop deep connections with cross-functional partners in Product Management, Marketing, User Research, Sales, Communications, Legal and other teams.
- Establish decision making frameworks for Product Management and R&D teams in the prioritization, design and development of new privacy features and experiences.
- Create a privacy go-to-market plan for your products that breaks through to demonstrate the ways we’re innovating responsibly.
- Synthesize complex concepts and strategy to effectively drive alignment.
- Demonstrate ability to resolve misalignment amongst stakeholders.
- In collaboration with other teams, create messaging, Q&As, graphics and other marketing collateral to explain how our products use data and the choices they offer to consumers.
- Identify long-term opportunities and strategic views of product direction related to privacy, based on market assessment, qualitative research and quantitative analysis.
- Build an understanding of the broader AR/VR ecosystem and competitive landscape to identify opportunities to tell our privacy story effectively.
- Inspire a research agenda for your products that surfaces novel and useful insights that make our products and marketing better.
- Participate actively in our community and embody our PMM values.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent marketing/communications/policy/privacy experience.
- 7+ years experience in product marketing or a related field.
- 5+ years experience launching hardware and/or software.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, either formally through reporting structure or informally through influence.
- Experience partnering closely with product teams to influence product strategy and roadmaps.
- Combination of strategic product marketing experience and hands-on tactical execution.
- Experience with consumer research and proficiency in using data and insights to inform product strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience shipping products with strong consumer privacy and safety protections
- Understanding of major consumer privacy protections in different regions and how they impact consumer technology
- Experience with enterprise or SMB go to market motions
