As the Engineering Manager, you will lead our US Engineering team across the engineering roadmap and technical landscape. We’re extraordinarily proud of the company and team we’ve built and looking for an empowering leader that can continue to coach a team and collaborate seamlessly across multiple departments and business stakeholders.


In this role you will:


Lead and Mentor

  • Manage a team of Engineers in the Los Angeles studio
  • Develop Engineers’ career through direct mentorship and coaching
  • Lead tactical tech strategies
  • Lead planning, status and retrospective meetings
  • Plan future architecture of core technologies


Collaborate

  • Work with an international team of Lead Artists and Developers to design and build next generation VR/AR/MR solutions in Unity3D/C#
  • Provide general project support by assisting the team with technical questions


Develop & Operate

  • Develop new immersive reality features that contribute to the product roadmap
  • Develop authoring and debugging tools
  • Develop technology that automates the QA process
  • Review pull requests from other Engineers
  • Mentor peers on subject matter expertise
  • Profile, analyze and remedy application performance issues


Innovate

  • Prototype and build with the latest mixed reality hardware (Oculus, Vive, Magic Leap, HoloLens, iOS, Android)
  • Contribute ideas and code to core frameworks that drive our technology and product roadmap
  • Research new technologies that could be used to improve our products



Skills and abilities we are looking for:


Required

  • 10+ years in Software Development
  • 5+ years of C#, and the Unity asset and build pipeline
  • 5+ years with Git, Perforce, or other version control software with Unity
  • Deep knowledge of Unity team project best-practices (prefabs, asset naming, organized scene hierarchy)
  • Deep understanding of data structures, 3D math
  • Able to work in a collaborative, global, agile/lean development environment
  • Excellent time-management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Shipped Virtual Reality /Mixed Reality/ Augmented Reality Apps


Preferred

  • Shipped Mobile Apps (iOS/Android)
  • Advanced rendering/Shader/OpenGL
  • Javascript / Web Experience
  • QA Engineering Experience
