We are looking for a AR/VR Spatial Audio DSP Lead, to drive the definition of cutting edge spatial audio architectures in high-performing and low-powered Apple devices. Key Qualifications

Expert understanding of all common spatial audio concepts such as HRTF, spherical harmonic functions, artificial reverberation, and room impulse responses.

Outstanding listening and communication skills.

The ability to synthesize a solution from a diversity of viewpoints.

Excellent programming skills in C/C++

Experience with embedded real time audio systems.


Description

You will help synthesize the portfolio of algorithms to be used in future Apple products, while functioning in extremely tight power and performance budgets. You will draw on an abundant internal research community to satisfy high-level user experience goals and will strategically fill gaps as needed. You will lead efforts from prototyping to execution, working cross functionality to ensure experience and performance goals are met, and collaborate with a diverse community of engineers within the company.


Education & Experience

Most of our team has an advanced degree in EE, Acoustics, or Music Technology.

We're open to individuals who have found their own path to the top of the field.


Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
