You will also work closing with Communications and Policy to ensure we as a collective team are aligned.Meta is looking for an experienced leader to join our growing Public Affairs Marketing team. This leader will work with the global team and will partner with cross functional partners to build, execute and measure our cohesive marketing strategy and campaigns, in alignment with our Consumer Marketing, Product, Policy and Communications partners. They will help influence and drive the Global Public Affairs Marketing strategy and approach and will drive accountability, and help grow team culture, expertise and impact along the way.Our ideal candidate will have proven marketing experience in Public Affairs (either working directly on a campaign for elected officials, agency, or corporate/private sector) – and the leadership experience to build, support, and inspire a high-performing team to do the best work of their careers. The ability to lead and influence internal and external partners is also critical. We are a group of smart, collaborative people who are passionate about our work. Director of Public Affairs Marketing Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a successful global public affairs marketing team
- Define and evolve the optimal Marketing strategy and approach by market that ladders up to the collective marketing, communications and policy goals
- Lead and own the creation, development and execution of the global Public Affairs Marketing Strategy in close partnership with the policy, communications and product teams that is deeply grounded in both research and business proof points
- Implement holistic and data-driven public affairs marketing programs to drive clear and measurable results, that work in close harmony with media relations and direct outreach
- Align key audiences, media and measurement approach into a single public affairs program stretching across multiple topics, and countries
- In partnership with cross-functional partners, refine objectives, audience development, media and creative strategy, and measurement approach for the work
- Coordinate public affairs program with other broader consumer marketing and company efforts, to ensure the company is showing up uniformly across all marketing and communications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 15+ years’ experience in a leadership role on political campaigns either working directly for a candidate, at an agency or consultancy
- 10+ years of people management experience, including experience managing other leaders
- Experience managing complex programs within a cross-functional environment
- Experience thinking strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
- Leadership and collaboration experience
- Experience influencing, communicating and presenting at all levels of an organization
