Job Overview:

We are seeking an account manager to join our team. You will work with the Account Executive (Business Development) to set the strategic vision and corresponding tactical plan to ensure individual project success and continuous growth of each assigned account. Through partnering with each client, you will strengthen the existing relationship, establish new relationships and generate new business within each assigned account. The AM position reports to the relevant sales team VP.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage client accounts and projects in collaboration with Project Management, Customer Success and Business Development
  • Collaborate with clients to determine product or service requirements
  • Closely collaborate with Kaon Account Executives, Project Managers, Senior Leadership, and Customer Success leads to drive ongoing customer success and identify growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain strategic account roadmap based on customer needs and value
  • Maintain Salesforce.com account, contact, opportunity, and org chart records
  • Maintain key agreements with client companies
  • Proactively identify and share recommendations for continuous improvement to drive sustained client success
  • Provide and support client training on new applications or application updates
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers, including decision-makers and VP-level executives
  • Effectively problem-solve when issues arise, identify potential solutions and drive issue resolution in conjunction with AE
  • Provide regular updates, respond to inquiries, and address any client concerns promptly
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular client meetings, including quarterly business reviews
  • Monitor and manage project performance
  • Monitor and manage the overall state of the client relationship
  • Oversee the development of new client relationships
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention


Skills/Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Understanding of sales and marketing performance metrics
  • An ability to address customer requests promptly
  • A strong desire to be a strategic partner to the customer, always looking to deeply understand the customer’s business and challenges and proactively look for opportunities to drive customer success
  • A proven desire and ability to be a continuous learner; always looking for new insights and information to be the best partner to our clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships;
  • Excellent listening, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Availability to travel as needed.
  • Tech-proficient plus - nimble with laptops, phones, software tools and at least curious about experiential technologies like augmented and virtual reality. 


Experience:

  • At least 3 years of proven work experience as an account manager or Key account manager in B2B environment
  • Trained in account management and customer success
  • Experience in writing solutions sales emails and proposals
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and LinkedIn Navigator
  • ​​BA/BS degree - a Business Marketing Communications (or related discipline) degree is a plus
  • Sales, Account Management or Client Support experience at Marketing / Digital Agency experience is a plus

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience
  • Base Salary plus incentive compensation based on bookings and account development success

Location:

  • This is a remote/work-from-home position, but we are looking for a professional with access to high-target prospect areas, including; Southern CA, Bay Area, CA, Seattle, Denver, Austin, Houston, Boston, Greater NY, Chicago, Atlanta to support F2F meetings and/or events as appropriate
