Broadcast Production Assistant for Live Sports 

About YBVR:

• YBVR is a leader in the virtual reality space launching their first Business to Consumer application in the Meta Quest store.  Xtadium is the leader in live sports production, bringing the biggest sports leagues to virtual reality including basketball, tennis, combat sports and more. The VR app will be the largest aggregator of both live and on demand sports in VR!

•  YBVR has an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant to join our fast growing team!  As a PA at YBVR, you will gain extensive experience and create incredible connections with the biggest Sports Properties in the world.  We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow quickly and willing to go the extra mile to make the productions better.  The ideal candidate will be willing to work with all departments within the company including production operations, producers, business development team and finance, as well as work with external production partners.  We are looking for someone who is not afraid to pitch ideas and storylines and has ambitions of growing a career in the sports broadcasting space.  Most of all, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with the YBVR company and is passionate about sports! 

Live Production Responsibilities

• Create storylines for graphics for use in live productions
• Work closely with Graphics Producer to create and approve graphics
• Write content descriptions for users when the content goes to air
• Work with Producers to create the highlights of the live events by keeping track of the timecodes
• Work with highlights producer to develop storylines and execute them through highlights and VOD content
• Brainstorm and pitch storylines to shoot while the crew is on site at live events
• Coordinate production schedules
• Work with 3rd Party Production Companies to create production schedule 
• Work with Leagues and broadcast partners to get run of show to create production schedule
• Create production calendar for the broader team
• Send out production schedules to crew for each event

Day to Day Operations

• Work closely with the Director of Sports Partnerships to manage relationships with Leagues, Teams, and Broadcast Networks.
• Maintain content archive for all live events and video on demand content
• Take ownership of the content archive system and programming calendar
• Make suggestions for what VOD content will be live in the app, what content will be pulled down, and what events go live
• Book travel for crew traveling to the event

Interests

• Strong interest in Live Sports, both linear broadcast and new media
• Interest in technology, particularly virtual reality

Qualifications: 

• BA/ BS
• 1 year+ experience in sports broadcast, sports marketing, live events
• Ability to work weekends for live events
• Creative, diligent and organized
• Work independently to create productions schedules and plans
• Ambitions to grow quickly within the company
• Travel may be required in the future

Salary:
