Overview

Veeco is an innovative manufacturer of semiconductor process equipment. Our proven ion beam, laser annealing, lithography, MOCVD, and single wafer etch & clean technologies play an integral role in the fabrication and packaging of advanced semiconductor devices. We are looking for an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Analyst to support our corporate responsibility initiatives and public disclosure. The analyst will work under the general direction and supervision of the Head of Investor Relations and the cross-functional ESG Leadership Team. This key member of the team will lead data collection, analysis, reporting, and support Veeco’s strategic ESG direction, including the achievement of our ESG goals.

The ESG Analyst will be in the unique position to gain advanced insights on a breadth of environmental, social and governance topics by working closely with an internal ESG Leadership Team, including investor relations, marketing, legal, human resources, environmental health & safety, supply chain, engineering, and others.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, track, and communicate Veeco’s ESG data, as well as progress against goals
  • Provide support to create and publish an annual sustainability report
  • Coordinate responses and manage relationships with ESG ratings providers and related surveys from the RBA, ISS, MSCI, and other groups.
  • Provide project management support, including preparing biweekly updates for the ESG Leadership Team, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders
  • Become familiar with and utilize knowledge of the GRI and SASB standards to support the publication of Veeco’s sustainability report
  • Provide thought leadership around ESG trends, emerging regulations, and peer activities to continue driving improvement
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required. Prior experience and/or coursework in an environmental field (environmental science, emissions, environmental law), ESG/sustainability topics, reporting, and non-financial corporate disclosure requirements is preferred. Advanced use of Excel and data visualization capabilities and experience with Power Query and PowerBi (or equivalent) is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Experience with GHG emissions calculation and the GHG Protocol accounting standards
  • Knowledge of ESG Rating Providers, such MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics
  • Interest in or understanding of business, finance, and/or investor relations
  • General proficiency in project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
