We are looking for an Art Asset Manager to join our team, this role will be the connection point between Art and our implementation teams.

The ideal candidate will have some experience working as a 3D artist on AAA games, VFX, AR, or VR experiences. This person will work closely with the Senior Art Asset Manager and report to the Director of Production, to ensure the smooth hand-off and high standard of quality of all Art assets for implementation in Unity.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate with Production management to complete a quality control review of assets before they are handed off for implementation.
  • Contribute ideas to improve systems for asset tracking, management, and consistency across projects
  • Communicate closely with management to ensure assets are being moved through the production pipeline according to production schedules
  • Ensure all assets are created according to documented art creation pipeline
  • Investigate issues that arise when assets/files are not pipeline-compliant
  • Drive information capture and team communication as needed, with active participation in stand-ups, meetings, reviews, etc.
  • This role involves extensive cross-team collaboration.
  • A strong candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, pragmatic, diplomatic, and focused on maintaining positive working relationships

Required Skills And Interests
  • A proven record of success working as a 3D Artist, Art Asset Manager, or Outsourcing Art Manager on several projects.
    • Experience with project and production management tools including: JIRA, Airtable
    • Capturing and cataloging accurate information and action items during meetings.
  • Highly self-motivated and organized
  • Extremely comfortable with multi-tasking
  • Experience working successfully on a remote team (Osso VR is a fully remote company.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest and passion in Virtual Reality and the medical space
    • Willing and able to view videos of surgical procedures including cadaveric reference, as needed.
    • Willing and able to use Virtual Reality headsets.
Required knowledge and proficiency in software:
  • Maya
  • Substance Painter
  • Marmoset Toolbag
  • Photoshop
  • Zbrush

Experience with CAD software is a plus:
  • Fusion 360
  • Moi 3D
