The Role

We are looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial Partnerships Manager. The Strategic Partnerships Manager is responsible for identifying and executing new partnerships that lead to direct revenue growth, while cultivating existing partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience building partnerships for retail tech startups with big tech companies that serve retailers. You should be comfortable negotiating partnerships and identifying potential strategic deals for Obsess. You should be highly motivated by emerging tech and highly interested in fashion, e-commerce, branding and retail. You are someone who wants to work really hard to have a big impact on growing a business and disrupting an industry. You are someone who is really good at persuading people to come with you where you lead them.




Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop and support enterprise-level partnerships, that have revenue impact.
  • Partner with sales team on bringing in leads from partners.
  • Cultivate relationships with leaders in the metaverse, AR/VR, e-commerce, fashion, and other relevant industries to drive strategic business development opportunities.
  • Iterate potential partnership engagements and negotiate partnership contracts.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, or related roles
  • Experience in partnerships role at retail tech / e-commerce companies, preferably startups
  • Experience building relationships with e-commerce platforms and big tech companies that serve retailers
  • Demonstrated experience developing C-suite relationships and negotiating complex, long term deals
  • Demonstrated revenue impact
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical field
  • Superb communication skills (interpersonal, phone, and email)
  • Naturally persuasive and influential
  • Ability to craft effective messaging - copy and visual
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Hard-working, flexible and creative
  • High energy and extremely hungry to make an impact
