The Augmented Reality Developer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for provide diversified training offerings for global customers and associates inclusive of exceptional virtualized and advanced instructor-led curriculum. You will also be responsible for developing AR curriculum in alignment with service manuals and instructions for use manuals.


This position is part of the Global Professional Development organization located in North America and will be fully remote (U.S. based). At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.


You will be a part of the Global Technology Team and report to the eLearning/AR Supervisor responsible for overseeing eLearning and augmented reality content development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Working in a small project-oriented team to create custom AR experiences for product training
  • Collaborating with other developers and clients to evaluate project needs and devise training solutions
  • Setting up virtual environments for a wide range of AR scenarios
  • Implementing user interfaces based on CAD drawings, mockups, and storyboards
  • Crafting intuitive user interactions for both novice and experienced users
  • Design and develop training materials including storyboards, job aids, and participant and instructor guides. All materials will be based on content and specifications provided by subject matter experts.
  • Diagnosing, documenting, and fixing bugs reported by testers and users
  • Participating in project planning and team reviews


The essential requirements of the job include:


  • Bachelor's degre in Computer Science, Animation, AR Development or similar field with 2+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in same fields with 0+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Unity
  • Experince with Solid Works
  • Knowledge of standard AR hardware, software, best practices, and design patterns


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Scope AR: Create and Worklink is preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or Bachelor of Science in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of AR experience is a huge plus
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) with demonstrated track record of strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability in and commitment to continuous process improvement
  • Technical aptitude to comprehend technical product training content
