**This is an on-site position as it is dependent on the use of several hardware systems that cannot be used remotely.**

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?


As 3D Artist for the MadLabs team, you will work on a wide variety of projects ranging from traditional animation, product concepts, and VR/AR to NFTs and motion capture. You will work in collaboration with other 3D artists, designers, and engineers in accordance with the art direction, production deadlines, and technical specifications needed to bring unique ideas to life. Every project is unique and offers the opportunity to experiment and grow as a 3D artist. We collaborate in a customer-driven environment where our decisions are grounded in responsible design, crafting innovative experiences that create a better place for every one of our users.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Create high-quality models for production. Must be skilled in the modeling of products, characters, props, and architecture.
  • Rig and animate characters and other models specific to each project’s needs.
  • Light and render scenes for various cases of production use.
  • Quickly prototype proof-of-concept ideas.
  • Sculpt and texture in a PBR workflow.
  • Optimize models and textures for game engines.


SKILLS NEEDED


  • Expert proficiency in standard 3D software such as Blender, Maya, V-Ray, Substance Painter, and the Adobe Suite.
  • Experience working with particles and fluids/smoke simulations.
  • Knowledge of Unity and Unreal Engine.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, maintain good communication, and receive constructive criticism.
  • Experience in AR/VR or game design is a plus.


REQUIREMENTS


  • All applicants must have a portfolio showcasing their 3D art that demonstrates a high level of artistic creativity.
  • Proven experience working at a creative 3D studio or agency.
