**This is an on-site position as it is dependent on the use of several hardware systems that cannot be used remotely.**

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?


As 3D Technical Artist for the MadLabs team, you will work on a wide variety of projects ranging from VR/AR experiences, games, and apps to web 3D and motion capture. You will work in collaboration with other 3D artists, designers, and engineers in accordance with the art direction, production deadlines and technical specifications needed to bring unique ideas to life. Every project is unique and offers the opportunity to experiment and grow as a 3D artist. We collaborate in a customer-driven environment where our decisions are grounded in responsible design, crafting innovative experiences that create a better place for every one of our users.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work proficiently in Unreal Engine and Unity for experiences, VR/AR, and games.
  • Work in an agile coding environment.
  • Optimize assets and scenes for best performance on target devices.
  • Produce photo-real as well as stylized renderings from game engines.
  • Implement 3D models for online viewing using webGL technologies.
  • Create rigs for characters and other assets for production.
  • Publish experiences or games to Oculus, Steam, iOS, and Android depending on each project’s needs.


SKILLS NEEDED


  • Expert proficiency in standard 3D software such as Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, Maya, and the Adobe Suite.
  • Expertise in programming languages C++, C#, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with particles and fluids/smoke simulations.
  • Knowledge of webGL technologies.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, maintain good communication, and receive constructive criticism.
  • Familiarity with motion capture data, cleanup, and retargeting is a plus.


REQUIREMENTS


  • All applicants must have a portfolio showcasing their 3D art that demonstrates a high level of artistic creativity.
  • Proven experience working at a creative 3D studio or agency.
