As the Project Manager in charge of the Media Content Team Operations, you will partner closely with a diverse group of VR and Metaverse content strategists, producers and engineers that work across a multitude of teams inside Meta and the Reality Labs Organization to deliver high quality Media experiences focused on advancing Media content production and consumption in virtual reality. You are a strategic thinker who thrives in a highly dynamic environment. You are detail-oriented in all you do and excel at breaking down complex problems to build scalable process solutions that continuously improve how we operate as a team. This role will work cross-functionally with Data Science, Data Engineering, Product Marketing Managers, Business Development, Engineers, Marketing, Procurement, Legal, Finance and Operations.


Project Manager, Media Content Operations Responsibilities:


  • Owns day-to-day operational support for the Media Content team, driving implementation of Content Operations processes creating structure to evolve how the team operates
  • Drives budget management activities in partnership with manager to maintain transparency on OPEX spend to date and yearly forecasts
  • Owns Meta supplier onboarding, procurement and monthly invoicing processes
  • Owns team enablement and adoption of our CRM tool, empowering Media Content Team members to maintain data integrity in the tool
  • Represents Media Content Team in Tools Prioritization meetings, advocating for team needs in the internal systems used by Content Organization
  • Owns Media Content Operations Knowledge base, maintaining robust documentation on processes. Partners with Media Content Team to identify friction points, creates training materials and events as necessary
  • Continually identifies opportunities to improve operations and team productivity. Plans and executes process changes with autonomy that improve complex cross-functional workflows supporting a steady stream of Media content releases with organizational excellence


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of software development life cycle, tools and processes from concept through to post-launch
  • 7+ years of program/project management experience in digital media/entertainment content production or related field
  • Experience establishing KPIs and partnering with Data Science to create data pipelines, automated dashboards that support actionable insights on digital content investment and ROI analysis
  • Experience navigating complex cross-functional work streams, leveraging interpersonal and communication skills to achieve business outcomes through influence
  • Experience managing sensitive and confidential information with internal and external partners
  • Experience working with external QA and Localization vendors
  • Experience delivering polished presentations on tactical and strategic levels, including occasional updates to Leadership
  • Track record of operating in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing work effectively between daily execution tasks and long-term goals
  • Project management knowledge with experience executing autonomously, successfully leading multiple initiatives of varying timelines simultaneously with minimal oversight or direction


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Familiarity with new consumer product launches inside the Entertainment industry
  • Interest in technology with knowledge on the AR/VR industry
  • Experience with Agile and traditional Project Management methodologies
  • Experience working with third-party content creators to produce and release content
  • Experience with Salesforce, Jira, Wiki and other productivity tools
  • Experience with VR Media content production and publishing
  • BA/BSc, or equivalent
