Job Description

Meta Sound Design is looking for a Sound Designer to join our award-winning team. This is a hands-on position crafting and implementing sounds, using traditional production pipelines as well as proprietary technology. Candidates must have a passion for sound and a demonstrated history of innovative sound design. The role combines functional sound design thinking and execution with the drive to break new ground as we build the metaverse. Candidates must have the ability to collaborate closely with other team members and product teams, so very strong communication skills are required.

Sound Designer Responsibilities:

• Design and implement custom sound for various products and initiatives. This position will be focused on AR/VR sound design for the metaverse
• Collaborate closely with existing team members to create unique sonic experiences using sound and music
• Execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment and collaborate with teams in other offices
• Advocate for audio and champion quality throughout the organization

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in sound and music production and demonstrated experience shipping high-quality products
• 10+ years of professional sound design and sound implementation experience
• High-level communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing positional audio for AR/VR
• Experience with game engines and audio middleware
