Junior Linux/Windows Desktop Technician

Location: Sandia National Laboratories, Albuquerque, NM

Client: ECS | End-Client: DoE


ECS is looking for an Junior Linux and Windows Desktop Support Technician to support the R&D Systems Architecture department architects, designs, and develops software systems and solutions for mission programs. This employee will join the machine learning group at Sandia which includes professional training in AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) headsets and environments.


Responsibilities:

• End user support Linux and Mac laptops

• Configure and support specialized lab equipment and hardware ( eye trackers, VR headsets, and electroencephalogram equipment)

• Document user manuals and software

• Perform data analysis

• Participate in all status/team meetings


Qualifications:

• 2 years of End User Linux Support OR Bachelor's Degree in CS

• Experience troubleshooting Mac and Linux laptops

• Experience with approval process for software and hardware

• Must have ability to obtain DOE Q Clearance


Desired Skills:

• Experience with data management

• Experience with EEG (electroencephalogram) equipment, eye-tracking equipment

• Experience with setting up AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) headsets and environments
