The Corporate Services Department within Global Corporate Solutions (GCSCS) consists of multiple specialized teams that provide a wide range of essential services to World Bank Group operations while also enhancing staff experience. GCS Interactive Media Services (GCSIM) is responsible for services in the areas of print production, video and photography services, cartography, and immersive media (virtual and augmented reality VR/AR) for internal and external audiences.

The Program Manager leads a team of staff, consultants and contractors to perform a range of duties involved in the production of finished media projects, client engagement and research of media technologies. The role focuses primarily on video production and photography services while providing guidance and coordinating closely with others in the immersive media team.

Duties and Accountabilities

  • Ensure the successful delivery of client-driven media projects across the World Bank Group, focusing on communication, learning and operations support.
  • Supervise, lead and develop a team of internal multimedia production experts and external vendor resources.
  • Act as creative content producer, providing guidelines regarding style, storyline and quality with strong focus on video production and photography projects for internal and public release.
  • Coordinate and ensure on-time, cost-effective and orderly flow of media projects, from job initiation to final delivery and billing as designated.
  • Develop and maintain dedicated, strong relationships with internal interactive media clients by ensuring consistent, high-quality service and providing insight into the value of traditional and immersive media.


Production and Resource Management Responsibilities

  • Set daily priorities and deliverables for other team members by overseeing the work and scheduling of short-term staff. Align daily assignments, communicate tasks and provide guidance for each project.
  • Coordinate production on both large and small budget projects for all platforms, including, but not limited to, photography, web videos and animations.
  • Develop project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
  • Support high level production projects by coordinating logistics efforts related to local or country on-site requirements, monitoring and estimating cost.
  • Work and develop external multimedia vendors and technical resources by creating a fluid communication avenue and effectively guiding project production through milestone reviews and approvals.
  • Recruit, vet, and direct video production vendors, producers, editors, video shooters, photographers, animators, script writers, voiceover talents and other audio/photo/video professionals to ensure quality work is delivered to spec and on time.


Client Interaction and Unit Development Responsibilities

  • Oversee the flow of information between client and production staff throughout project development.
  • Create project proposals with creative visuals including technical and storytelling aspects, project timelines and budget considerations.
  • Engage with clients to tailor script, storylines and branding into audio or video form.
  • Keep up with the latest media technologies and industry trends and provide recommendations for any software or hardware to further the team’s product offering.
  • Collaborate across multiple GCS Business Services units providing cross-support and integration with projects in the areas of event support, design, cartography, immersive media, translation and interpretation, editorial publishing and overall customer service.


Selection Criteria

  • Master's degree with 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the fields of video production, film, visual arts, photography, interactive media, or similar disciplines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading talented media teams in a production environment outputting high-end, high-volume video and photography projects in a corporate setting.
  • Project proven hands-on experience employing video concepts, software interfaces, hardware and industry workflows required for digital post-production, transcoding, encoding, and authoring for distribution. Familiarity with 360 video/VR a plus.
  • Experience with production coordination of video and/or photo shoots, both on-location and in-studio in a corporate environment and non-fiction form.
