Summary

The main function of a Sound designer is to use technology creatively to provide sound for moving images in a range of mediums, including film, games and others

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, implement, and test audio assets across the game's feature areas, e.g. Characters, Weapons, Environment, UI, etc. -
  • Work with the current sound designers and engineers on the team collaboratively.
  • Iteratively review, revise, and refine the audio and create compelling player experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional audio experience working at a game studio.
  • Highly proficient with your DAW of choice e.g. Reaper, Cubase, Pro Tools, Ableton, etc.
  • Working knowledge of game editors such e.g. Unity, Unreal, or proprietary game engines.
  • Experience working with the Unity Engine.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to consistently deliver quality work on a deadline.
  • Experience collaborating with different disciplines across the game team.
  • Passionate about games and creating high quality audio experiences for players.
  • Able to provide a quick turnaround on asset iterations.
  • Experience working within technical constraints of performance and memory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with FMOD Audio Engine.
  • Comfortable working with C# scripting in Unity.
  • Experience working on VR/AR audio
  • Experience working on content for a live title.
Top 3 Must-have HARD Skills
