Who are we hiring?
As a QA Tester at MSG (Madison Square Garden) Ventures, you will plan and execute tests for applications, games and tools while assuring high quality releases for mobile, PC, VR/AR platforms and eventually the Sphere venue platform. This role will work most closely with the QA Lead.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with Product and Development teams to identify test requirements and plan testing for new features and content for PC, mobile and VR/AR applications.
- You will be integrated within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from Test Planning to Test Plan and Test Case creation to manually execute (and potentially automate) said test cases for features and build internal/external releases.
- In an Agile-Scrum methodology environment, you will attend and participate in agile meetings keeping all involved in projects including stakeholders with up-to-date information on test progression.
- Meticulously record test results using Test Rail and Jira and follow up with written tickets from creation to “Done.”
- As a QA team member, you will actively look for ways to improve the QA Department which includes process, workflows, test quality/velocity, etc.
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in software development as a Quality Assurance manual tester is required. Games industry experience is preferred.
- Written Test Plans and Test Cases from small features to new app / tool development against different sets of devices, browsers, hardware, and operating systems. A plus if you have done this but for mobile social games or PC/Console games.
- Experienced tester for iOS, Android, VR/AR, PC, and web-based applications which include but not limited to games, apps, and tools.
- Have utilized bug tracking software like Jira and Test Case management programs like Test Rail (or similar).
- Great oral, written and listening skills and time management skills.

- You are curious about the inner workings of a product, but most importantly, you are passionate at what you do, and it shows.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile-Scrum methodology.
- Additional games development skills and interests (game engineering, production, game design, game art, graphic design) a definite plus, including familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Unity, Unreal and other common games industry software.
- Familiar with writing and/or running test automation scripts.
