About The Role

Mass Virtual is looking for a passionate “hands-on” Product Manager who is interested in working with next-generation virtual reality training solutions. We are looking for a Product Manager that has proven experience working across departments to help set technology standards and processes to help Mass Virtual push industry boundaries by using leading-edge technologies to create revolutionary virtual experiences that set our customers apart often ahead of time and under budget.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to launch
• Own the product vision and work with our team to create meaningful problem statements
• Maintain and manage the product roadmap down to a request level
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and data teams
• Identify new areas for growth through quantitative search and UX studies
• Analyze market trends and maintain an awareness of competitor activity
• Research market fit and users’ desire/demand
• Provide support to the sales and marketing teams by communicating product features and functionality
• Serve as the face of the product within the company, and act as the point person to leadership
• Determine your teams’ metrics for success
• Influence key stakeholders across our organization to align intent and prioritization
• Collaborate with design and engineering partners to plan sprints. Work with product, UX and engineering teams to make decisions about complex problems
• Partner on go-to-market, launch, pricing, and customer support activities working with colleagues from the corresponding teams
• Ownership of product roadmaps to support and balance objectives such as user engagement and revenue growth through data-driven prioritization
• Develop user and business metrics to evaluate success of applications, using measurements to inform product decisions
  

What You Need To Succeed

• At least 5+ years web operations, web development, product management
• Prior experience leading others
• Understanding and appreciation of UX and design principles such as user research/testing, information hierarchy, and common UI
• A foundation in analytics techniques and product management best practices that aids you in building data-driven arguments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience driving products that are creative tools for designers, engineers, or technical users is a plus
• Highly effective cross-functional team management
• Solid knowledge and experience working with a variety of programming languages both client and server side, software development processes and Agile methodologies
• Strong passion for excellence in web development and product rigor
• Strong adherence to security and performance best practices
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  

Great To Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar degree or comparable experience
• Understanding and experience with developing and maintaining web development and organizational roadmaps
• Strong passion for excellence in web development and product rigor
• Strategic planning
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Experience with MongoDB, Vue3.js and Node.js
• Experience with Express.js or Nest.js
• Experience with RESTful Web Services, APIs, and asynchronous data flow
• Front-end web development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in building web-based enterprise software products from the ground up to production demonstrating successful delivery of software applications and systems by meeting agreed upon delivery commitments and quality levels
