Job Description
Our client, a VR production company, is seeking a Writer/Producer/Director to join their team.
Writer/Producer/Director Responsibilities:
- Lead content creation for multiple concurrent 360 and CG modules. With supervision from a Creative Director
- Partner closely with Instructional Designers, Producers, and Data Scientists to ensure that content approach satisfies scope, learning, and evaluation goals.
- Travel to set for filming and guide the resulting content through post-production and interactive build.
- Collaborating with varied stakeholders and are able to prioritize across overlapping campaigns.
- comfortable providing direction under pressure and can meet deadlines while committing to quality standards.
- Develop content Script from learning Curriculum
- Plan and execute the creation of content for modules with aid from a Producer
- Provide direction to crew and actors on-set and at voiceover sessions
- Provide direction to CG and Post-Production artists
- Complete multiple rounds of Quality Assurance testing on module builds
- Address content feedback through iterative rounds of Customer and internal review
- Working with post supervisor to oversee video editor and graphics artist, reviewing notes, sticking to timeline.
Writer/Producer/Director Musts:
- 1+ years experience producing, directing, or editing virtual reality content
- 3-5 total years experience working in production
- Experience working with on-screen talent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience responding to briefs and producing content within a strict scope and budget
- Experience driving content development processes with internal and external stakeholders
Writer/Producer/Director Pluses:
- Experience working with the Kandao Obsidian Camera, Adobe Suite, and Mistika
- Experience developing content for educational or training purposes
- Passion for AR/VR
- Portfolio showcasing video work or writing sample that illustrates the ability to craft a narrative and samples of documented direction (storyboards, pitch deck, paper edit, etc)
- Available to travel to various sites across the US for filming
