About The Role

Mass Virtual, Inc. (MVI) is looking for a dedicated and passionate Scrum Master to join our rapidly growing team. As a Scrum Master, you will implement Scrum principles and work directly with our Software Engineers to lead and coach them through success. What You’ll Be Doing

• Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities
• Plan, direct and coordinate the appropriate life cycle phases for large or small Simulation VR/AR projects
• Responsible for providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, and employee career development
• Responsible for supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes
• Acts as the project manager for the Software Development Team by developing and executing and leading the project and process plans and implementing policies and procedures to promote efficiency
• Leverage JIRA and related tools to provide tracking and visualization of project performance indicators
• Removes impediments/blockers in order to keep teams productive
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches
• Responsible for identifying hiring needs, recruiting efforts, and training to hire and develop the best team and talent
• Develops team strategies and approaches for new business
• Implements and promotes process standards and tools
• Works with Quality Assurance to audit results and remain in compliance
• Holds and participates in daily scrums to promote better communication
  

What You Need To Succeed

• 5+ Years of Experience as a Software Scrum Master
• Experience guiding and leading a Software Team
• Experience with agile processes and techniques
• Understanding of JIRA tool use and the creation of dashboards through JIRA
• Strong communication and teaming skills (within a team and relating to other teams)
• Ability to deliver product in accordance with prescribed deadlines, on time, and of exceptional quality
• Excellent oral and written English language skills
• Able to self-manage and work in an environment of high autonomy
• Able to take initiative and pay close attention to detail
• Desire to join a fast-growing company in the Simulation and VR industry
• U.S. work authorization required
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Personal Security Clearance
  

Great To Have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or IT
• Experience with Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)
• Strong aptitude for understanding technical requirements and software development
