3-D Modeler/ Texture Artist (Onsite in Atlanta)

We are searching for an experienced 3D Modeling and Texture Artist with a passion for technology and excellent communication skills. This is an onsite role in Atlanta in which you will act as a self-motivated team player with creative input to cutting-edge initiatives including AR/VR/MR experience development, and virtual prototyping. In this role you will work on the Mixed Reality Immersive Experience Development Team and you will create organic and hard surface models and photo-realistic textures of subjects ranging from fantasy to urban.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the assets, shading and lighting project components.
  • Work with an emphasis on the aesthetics and techniques of photo-realistic effects.
  • Create photo-real texture and relevant maps.
  • Develop and manage textures for production pipeline.
  • Manage the quality of 3D models and textures for production use in high and low res format.
  • Work in partnership with peers to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard.
  • Establish suitable working techniques for the members of your team and work in conjunction with the production team (UE Developers, Animation Leads) to establish schedules and technical requirements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience.
  • Strong artistic skills.
  • Experience using Autodesk Maya, Blender, Z-Brush, Mudbox, Photoshop, Substance Painter.
  • Experience with Maya texturing methodologies.
  • Layout/texture experience.
  • Photo realistic painter/sculptor experience.
  • Proven 3D modeling expertise in both hard surface and organic matter.
  • Ability to accurately evaluate scope and time requirements.
  • A traditional arts background with emphasis on photo-realistic character work and environments.
  • Working knowledge of multi-pass rendering, lighting, match-moving and NURBS modeling.
  • A strong understanding of real world materials is essential and must be demonstrated in the work on your reel.
