VIVEPORT is HTC VIVE’s global content distribution platform operating in more than 70 countries around the world. We support the full range of PC VR headsets, including Quest via Link, as well as standalone devices like the VIVE Flow. VIVEPORT also runs the first VR subscription service, VIVEPORT Infinity. Since Infinity’s launch in 2019, it has featured hundreds of premium VR games and apps.
The VIVEPORT team is looking for a Developer Relations Engineer
(Unity and/or Unreal) to provide the technical knowledge, tools, and resources
necessary to support our VR partners, from gaming studios to app developers. You
will be part of a high performing team at the forefront of the VR industry and
technology, helping developers ship the best games and apps into our ecosystem.
What you’ll be doing
- Enable, support and onboard Viveport partners and third-party game developers, ensuring a world-class developer experience
- Champion the requirements of developers and represent their needs to help guide our platform roadmap
- Aiding developers create final builds in different Unity and/or Unreal versions on different platforms
- Act as the technical liaison between internal teams and external partners
- Help improve and direct our platform strategy, tools, and processes
- Create developer-facing guides, tutorials, sample code, and documentation
- Support developers with SDK integration, code assistance, and porting optimization
- Support the distribution of new hardware, development kits, SDK’s and tools to developers and manage feedback
- Analyze developer issues to guide RD to implement fixes
- Review of feature requests from developers and liaise with RD on platform and SDK improvements
- Host internal training sessions and technical briefings as required
- Contribute regularly to the Developer Blog and Community Forums
- Be our Viveport platform evangelist. Deliver technical presentations and workshops at
- industry events, developer meetups and webinars

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
- 3+ years of experience as a developer with a focus on VR, games and/or mobile technologies using Unity and/or Unreal
- Experience in profiling and performance optimization of applications
- Understanding of developer segmentation and ecosystem, and how to effectively engage with and
- support game developers
- Active member in developer user groups/forums, engaging with groups driving development efforts
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills
- Up to date knowledge of the current state of XR hardware and platforms
- Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- across multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Abilities)
- Hands-on experience in XR software development
- Track record of working with game developers and studios
- Active member in developer user groups/forums, engaging with groups driving development efforts

- Remote in the US with flexible work arrangements to support you in working in the way that you
- work best
- Willingness to travel occasionally (post COVID-19) to industry events in the US and Europe, and to our HQ in Taiwan
