Expected compensation: $70.00 - $81.00 per hour

HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire an experienced Unity/Unreal Developer (AR/VR) to help explore what tomorrow's AR/VR experiences will look like.

In this role, you'll collaborate with a team of technical artists using state-of-the-art tools to explore various new directions/applications for a team of research scientists/software engineers using new software/hardware.

As a Unity/Unreal Developer (AR/VR), You’ll
  • Brainstorm/create new interactive 3D experiences with high-end characters, creatures, props and environments in both Unity and UnrealEngine.
  • Troubleshoot complex AR/VR systems, body tracking equipment, and complex Linux/Windows computer systems.
  • Design, build and test advanced animation setups and user UIs in these environments.
  • Build experiences (i.e. pared down interactive scenarios - not games) to evaluate strengths/weaknesses of new software, hardware and approaches.
  • Assist with demos/testing of the experiences created.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of recent professional experience using Unity and/or Unreal to create high end character centric visuals
  • Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows OS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of most recent game engine functionality/advances
  • Extensive experience with professional production processes
  • Willingness to take direction, multitask and self-prioritize to help various teams meet goals a quick moving environment
  • Solid knowledge of Maya and/or Blender as it pertains to character rigging and deformation
  • Must be able to work onsite
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer visualization, or computer animation
  • Proven experience in the creation of VR/AR experiences
  • Strong math background
  • Strong grasp of basic animation principles, kinematics & physics
  • Experience with real time body tracking
Commitment: This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. It is an onsite position and is available to candidates local to Sausalito, CA.
