Enovix is building an advanced silicon-anode lithium-ion battery production facility in the U.S. for volume production. The company's initial goal is to provide designers of category-leading mobile devices with a high-energy battery so they can create more innovative and effective portable products. Enovix is also developing its 3D cell technology and production process for the electric vehicle and energy storage markets to help enable widespread utilization of renewable energy. We’re looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to help support our new 50,000 square-feet lithium-ion battery production facility in Fremont, California for commercialization of our 3D Silicon™ Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery.

Job Summary:

Enovix is seeking a Vision Systems and Controls Engineer to join our awesome and growing team of innovators at our 45,000 sq. ft lithium-ion battery production facility in Fremont, California, for commercialization of our 3D Silicon™ Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery. Learn more at Enovix.com.

Responsibilities:

• Integrate vision systems into the manufacturing line to enable part placement accuracy, dimensional measurement, and defect detection
• Define metrology needs and strategy for high volume assembly processes
• Work with equipment design team and external vendors
• Automate measurements/data extraction and organize them in formats usable by end users
• Conduct equipment development projects with equipment suppliers
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to meet process development needs

Qualifications:

• Experience with Keyence, Cognex, and other off the shelf vision equipment
• Understanding of Metrology fundamentals
• Familiarity with factory data collection and management systems
• Ability to work on multiple projects
• Experience working in high volume and pilot production environments
• Experience with high volume assembly and packaging processes
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Eligible to work in the United States
