Computer Vision Engineer - SLAM - Social Good VR Startup

Location: Remote

The company can hire someone from mid to senior to lead level.

The company's product involves real estate, computer vision, data, AI, 3D virtualization and virtual reality. It also has a social good component, as it is helping to make housing more affordable and ensuring fair access to housing.

The company currently has about 30 employee and 18 engineers and is rapidly expanding. About half of the employees are in the US and the other half are worldwide.

Revenues are rapidly growing, having doubled in the last 6 months. The company has a strong customer base, including several of the biggest companies in its target market. They expect 2022 to be a big year.

The company will pay very competitive salary (up to $250k or more) plus equity which could be very lucrative.

Job Responsibilities:

• Rapidly virtualizing indoor spacing using mapping, localization, SLAM.
• About 80/20 development/research. Everything they are trying to do has been done in an academic setting; there will be research involved in productionizing it and addressing edge cases, but most of the time will be spent on productionizing it.
• Using Python and C++, whatever mix you'd like.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Computer vision.
• Production experience doing SLAM - simultaneous localization and mapping.
• Experience shipping a mapping pipeline.
  
  

Nice to have:

• Image processing.
• Full stack development.
