Lead Sound Designer (Unity, VR/AR)

Location: Austin, TX.

WIN Reality has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Sound Designer!

WIN Reality is a highly collaborative team focused on creating high-end experiences that allow athletes and coaches to virtually train, analyze, and improve their performance.

We are looking for a self driven Lead Sound Designer to join our software development team to work alongside Designers, Artists, and Programmers. Requirements for this role include identifying audio needs with the team leads, creating and recording new audio for sports/training experiences and environments, and establishing quality and technical standards for audio content and implementations. In addition establishing what the long term audio team growth needs are and managing/tasking new audio developers.

To be considered you will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of audio development workflows and quality audio creation:

• Working with engineers to determine and define tools needed
• Working with designers and artists to match visuals with effective audio
• Organizing assets for sustainable growth
• Demonstrated team leadership/management

An acceptable portfolio/reel will demonstrate skills such as:

• Defining overall product audio themes (UI SFX, VO, World SFX, Event Stingers, etc)
• Organize and manage quality mixes and audio balancing
• Working in a self-directed, organized and efficient manner
• Recent experience with Unity as an engine is a significant “Nice to Have”

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in game, simulation, or training software development
• Shipped two or more titles
• Some experience overseeing a project and/or team as the lead audio developer

Nice to Have:

• Experience working on VR applications
• Experience working on mobile applications
• Solid understanding of the suite of audio-related tools in Unity
