Job Description

Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for an Android ATAK Developer to to support our Federal Customers. Position is 100% Remote. Elevate will be assisting in the development of Command and Control C2 applications that will work in a Mobile device. This excellent opportunity requires that the ideal candidate be customer focused, and willing to join a winning team.

The Android Atak Developer will be responsible for the following:

• Design and develop Android-based apps as an alternative user interface to existing Command and Control applications that have browser-based interfaces.

• Serve as a subject matter expert to the team; providing guidance, tasking and review to other team members creating Android-based apps.

• Some of the apps may be plug-ins to the existing Android Tactical Awareness Kit (ATAK), the military’s primary Android tactical application created by DISA. Later phases of the program will add haptics, and tethered virtual reality / augmented reality.

The Android Atak Developer must have the following skills:

• Android app development, ideally for a military or government agency. Military apps are characterized by coordinating complex workflows (with multiple forms), have a heavy geospatial / map orientation perspective, support real-time streaming video (e.g., UAV sensor video feeds), and integrate collaboration tools such as video chat and screen sharing.
• Designing apps with user experience considerations for mobile devices (e.g., UI complexity, navigation, easy ways to enter data w/out keyboards, etc.)
• Experience with ATAK, including developing plug-ins for ATAK (highly desired)
• Experience with military command/control, C4ISR, or intel systems
• Creating automated functional tests for Android apps
• Familiarity with the Samsung KNOX security package
• Familiarity with 4G/5G networking (at least from a mobile application/mobile device perspective)
• Experience with advanced mobile user experience features such as speech-to-text, haptics, and virtual reality.

The Android Atak Developer must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 + years of Android Development experience on enterprise mobile applications.
• Familiarity with 4G/5G Wireless
• Experience Developing Android Applications in Federal Gov’t based projects
• Specific CivTAK / ATAK experience is a plus
• Must be a US Citizen
