Our team experiments with bold ideas to build up the next generation automatic & democratized graphics content creation & optimization pipeline. As a Research Engineer, you will foster our scientific explorations in lighting estimation, 3D object/scene scanning, appearance synthesis, etc., and bridge the cutting-edge research outcome with future user experiences in AR/VR/Metaverse. Together, let’s push the boundary of graphics research to blur the edge between virtual and real world, and build up the Metaverse for billions of users.

Research Engineer, Content Creation & Optimization Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with diverse and interdisciplinary researchers, engineers, and designers to conceptualize, build, and test novel graphics content creation & optimization technology.
  • Support the realization of research outcomes into code and experiences through reusable tools, extensible plug-ins, and clear readable code.
  • Participate in cutting-edge research and develop proof-of-concept prototypes that result in industry-leading tech demos and/or publications.
  • Learn constantly, dive into new areas with uncharted technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of inventing the future of graphics content creation & optimization technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with general graphics rendering and image formation model.
  • 3+ years of experience in C/C++, Python or ML programming.
  • Experience with at least one popular deep learning framework, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with modern software development cycle, including: unit testing, source control, and continuous integration.
  • Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master/Ph.D. degree in Computer Graphics or a related field.
  • Experience with developing, testing, integrating and deploying machine learning models into research platforms and prototypes.
  • Experience with ML model performance optimization.
  • Experience with differentiable rendering techniques.
  • Experience with at least one graphics APIs like OpenGL/DirectX, Vulkan/Metal/CUDA.
  • Experience successfully prototyping and transferring research algorithms into products.
  • Track record of achieving results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as publications at leading graphics/vision/ML conferences such as SIGGRAPH/Eurographics, HPG, EGSR, IEEE VIS, CVPR/ICCV/ECCV, etc.
