Who We Are:

SHOTOVER Systems, headquartered in beautiful Boulder, CO, designs and builds high-end gyro-stabilized airborne cameras for blockbuster movies as well as augmented reality software and hardware solutions used by the military, television stations, and firefighters around the world. We were doing AR before AR was cool, have bootstrapped to 60 employees, and are profitable and growing.

Job Overview:

Earthscape ( http://public.earthscape.com/ ) is our web-based video management and live streaming site designed for utility companies to help them ensure their power lines don’t burn down the state, firefighters for when they do, first responders to help ensure public safety, and anyone else for whom geospatial video is important. You will join our web services team -- using your expertise in web, mobile, and cloud-based distributed systems. You are experienced in both server-side and client-side internet video technologies. You are customer-focused, care about what you are doing and the direction it’s going, and can take on work that we’ve started and complete/polish it.

Responsibilities:

Working with the team to prioritize and implement requirements based on customer needs

Contributing user interface and architectural ideas

Work closely with Quality Assurance testing

Devops for small customer base

Required Skills:

Familiarity with Python & JavaScript

Familiarity with Node.js, react, flask

Comfortable with Issue management systems

Expertise using GIT and managing repositories

Familiarity with Postgresql, PostGIS, and SQLAlchemy

AWS/Cloud Environment skills - specifically in provisioning, scaling, and deployments

Multi-platform experience with PCs, Tablets, Windows, Android, iOS

Multi-browser experience (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari)

Strong experience working in Linux shell environments

Additional (ideal) Skills:

Prior experience extracting and working with metadata from any number of sources

Experience with video pipelines and working with transport streams/live video

Experience with cyber security and maintaining compliance

Fluency in networking fundamentals

Schedule:

Flexible, 40 hours/week

Work Authorization: U. S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or other protected status under 8 U. S. C. 1324b(a)(3) is required for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
