At Meta Reality Labs, we're building devices and experiences that make people feel closer. This includes product groups for Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Home & Work, and the Metaverse, along with research and development labs and artificial intelligence teams.
We’re looking for an experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead the Meta Reality Lab’s Home and Work portfolio, including Portal and Workplace. This leader and their team will be responsible for influencing early stage product development, leading go-to-market strategy, and driving growth strategies through the end of the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be able to earn the trust of executive leadership and cross-functional partners in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, PR and other teams. The ability to build a high performing team and marketing strategy from the ground up for early stage, nascent products will be key, as will your leadership contributions to build a healthy, resilient marketing organization.
The Portal team is building products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content that make it easier to connect and to feel more connected with the most important people in your daily life. The Workplace team is building a place for people to simply and securely share knowledge, work together, and get work done. Leading both the Portal and Workplace product marketing teams, this leader’s vision will help shape the future of home and work on a global scale.
Director, Product Marketing, Home & Work (Reality Labs) Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and support a team of product marketers, including people managers, ensuring alignment between individual’s strengths and business needs
- Partner with product leadership to influence product and business strategy with a view of customer needs and market opportunities
- Model inclusive behaviors and build a diverse organization that values, respects, and taps into different backgrounds and perspectives
- Consistently build strong internal partnerships, influence, resolve conflict, build alignment, and work effectively across teams to execute strategy
- Proactively detect the largest problems impacting their team's execution and make decisions that resolve and manage dependencies
- Leads Go-To-Market PMM & In-Market PMM Business Strategy functions across the full lifecycle of the product
Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 or more years of experience with product marketing
- 18 or more years of experience with consumer products or hardware
- 12 or more years of experience with team leadership, people management, cross-functional team leadership, or leadership
- Track record of building partnerships with Product Management and cross-functional teams, and shaping multi-year product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
- Leadership experience in a global role and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes
- Experience owning and overseeing multiple portfolio areas and marketing vision while creating buy-in and enthusiasm from peers, individual contributors, and other leaders
- Experience influencing and leading strategies across multiple lines of business and matrixed teams
- Experience identifying and analyzing complex, long term, critical problems facing the relevant areas of the business and drove solutions for them
- Understands organizational health, can articulate an organizational vision, and can effectively diagnose and make recommendations to solve complex issues that may span multiple teams (including decisions around resource prioritization, top-level goal alignment, and balancing impact with team longevity)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience launching and scaling a consumer hardware product
- Experience with go-to-market strategies for business audiences
