Vizara is a technology start-up, founded by entrepreneurs holding PhDs from IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, and MIT. We offer knowledge-based solutions with Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and 3D printing technologies in various domains such as heritage preservation, tourism, education, entertainment, infrastructure, new media, and smart city governance. We have closely worked with the Indian government and are now expanding globally and into B2B space to provide solutions across industry. 

We are beginning our productization journey, and thus are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious candidate to join us as a Software Engineer (Data Modeling). The role requires you to be part of the team which has the mandate to develop artificially intelligent digital solutions including knowledge graphs for data modeling and smart computing.

What digital solution/platforms we are building

Data Intelligent Applications enabled by Knowledge Graphs using Semantic Data Modeling. We provide Extended Reality (XR) based products and services for higher impact, backed by AI based systems, and this is where the Knowledge Engineering Team will have to innovate and chip in.

Technical Capabilities

• Building Domain Ontologies
• Reference Knowledge Graph Architecture
• Probabilistic Graph based Learning
• Hands-on on tools for creation of ontology graphs
• Graph Visualization - Visually appealing graph dashboards
• Ontology Based Reasoning
• Conversion of data in RDF to be stored in triple format.
• Querying data from Graph Database using SPARQL

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience in Data Modeling, Data Engineering and Ontology Development
• Expert in various relational databases and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, semantics, triple stores etc
• Hands on working experience in Data Modeling and Semantic Web standards from W3C: Triple store database concepts, RDF, RDFS, OWL, SPARQL etc
• Strong C++/Java/Python programming skills
• Advance Level knowledge on data integration and complex data workflows
• Minimum 1 year of relevant (only hands on experience is countable, not just knowledge or awareness) experience on above mandatory technology stack (NOTE: This is not total experience)
• Total experience should be about 2-3 years of experience

Responsibilities:

• Develop a technology stack enabling semantic resources ingestion, management and provisioning for our various applications in the space of culture, tourism, education and entertainment.
• Develop data models, ontologies and knowledge graphs for providing an artificially intelligent back-end for our various XR and IoT applications.
• Integrate semantic resources with the data for its adoption by the various applications built on top of it
• Develop REST APIs used as an interface of the Semantic Knowledge Base using HTML and Java Technologies

Required Qualifications:

• B.Tech/B.Sc./Master in Computer Science or a closely related field 
• Good in communication and project coordination
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks
• 2 - 3 years of work experience in Data Modeling, Ontology Creation and visualisation
• Ability to work productively in a team

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of new developments in Digitalization which are based on 3D/4D/5D data and XR technologies
• Large scale data visualizations on the lines of d3js, Graphviz
• Knowledge of HTML 5 templates and REST APIs for web application development and dynamic publishing of queries
• Hands-on on Knowledge engineering tools such as Protege, GraphDB, Metaphactory.

Salary Range - As per industry standard 

Location - Delhi/ NCR
