Job Description
- As a laser dicing engineering technician you will be performing activities enabling the assembly of optical components for augmented and virtual reality applications.
- Programming and operating laser machining equipment to cut and dice brittle and polymeric materials
- Collaborating with clients to optimize computer aided design and drafting files for their successful conversion to laser cutting machine instructions
- Collaborate with process engineers to execute experiments and gather relevant data on dicing quality to advance development of dicing recipes for new materials and profiles.
- Testing finished components using inspection equipment such as microscopes, coordinate measurement machines and other devices.
- Updating processing and equipment status databases.
- Planning and scheduling laser dicing jobs.
Skills
- 2+ years industrial experience in laser cutting processing and inspection of laser machined components
- 1+ years industrial experience with use of computer aided design and drafting software, including familiarity with DXF file interpretation and creation.
- 1+ years familiarity with operating robotic equipment, including operating human machine interface systems
- 1+ years familiarity with use of coordinate/optical measuring machines
- 1+ years of clean room experience
- 1+ year familiarity with data entry into processing databases (MES, SPC, SQL).
- Shift flexibility (1st: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; or 2nd: Tentative hrs - 3:30 PM to Midnight)
Education
- · Engineering Bachelor’s degree or higher education.
