Overview

As the Senior Manager of People Development, you will create powerful solutions for our global organization, executing against a multi-year, multi-pronged learning and development roadmap with the support of two talented people development colleagues. You will impact the organization as a strategic thought leader on learning initiatives, as a designer of content, as a project owner who delivers on time and budget, and as a facilitator of key internal programs.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a comprehensive L&D framework to elevate capability, engagement and organizational performance across the globe
  • Deliver a suite of highly effective development solutions with a priority focus on management and leadership curriculums, career-pathing and skills development for key technical functions, and accelerating high potentials
  • Manage curriculum journeys, content development and delivery processes for talent at all levels and across multiple formats (including program facilitation where appropriate)
  • Oversee all things LMS with the goal of enhanced user experience and greater utilization
  • Introduce best practice tools for “driving” personal development
  • Build dashboards to report key L&D metrics and realized performance improvements
  • Leverage instruments and strategies to support accurate talent assessments and feedback delivery
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all aspects of learning & development from defining the L&D strategy companywide to consulting on solutions at an individual employee level
  • Establish and maintain strong trusted partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels to ensure recommended solutions are aligned to strategic business priorities and drive expected results
  • Provide regular L&D updates to Veeco United and marketing of helpful tools and topics
  • Identified as key contact for external learning partners; evaluator of training quality and negotiator for terms
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Organization Development (OD), HR Management or related field; Master’s Degree preferred. Must have 8+ years of progressive Leadership/OD/OE experience. Experience within large global organization is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Expertise in adult learning strategies, assessments, instructional design and development tools to maximize performance and potential
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies into critical talent development initiatives
  • Proven success designing and delivering high-visibility management and leadership programs
  • Solid program management skills; able to manage multiple projects concurrently, monitoring progress and measuring effectiveness
  • Strong facilitator capable of consistently and effectively engaging a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
