Black Box VR is revolutionizing the world of fitness by combining the fun and excitement of video games with the life-changing benefits of real strength training and exercise! Imagine playing your favorite AAA game and instead of just leveling up your on-screen character, you are actually leveling up yourself. 

We have developed our own exercise machine that integrates with our custom virtual reality game. Currently we have six gym locations open, with plans for dozens more locations over the next 12 months. Our opened gyms are in San Francisco, California, Idaho, and Arizona.

As a Senior VR Software Engineer, you’ll be working directly with our co-founders and with our team of game developers, hardware engineers, designers, virtual reality creators, and backend system experts to create VR gameplay experiences. You’ll be able to enjoy working on implementing new game features, re-architecting old ones, and deploying updates to our members.

We Are Looking For An Expert-Level Unity Game Developer:

• 5+ years of engineering experience working on games
• 5+ years of Unity experience
• 3+ years working with virtual reality
• C# expertise
• A love of video games of all types
• A passion for health and fitness and an understanding of how difficult it can be for the average person to adhere to a traditional workout program

Bonus (But Not Required) Skills:

• Experience working with AAA game development teams, but ready to contribute to a smaller team
• Experience with SteamVR
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with client-side web development
